We hope that you can join us at our next general membership meeting that is scheduled for March 18th, 2024 at the Fiesta. Our topic will be a dual presentation.
The first part will be an INTRO/ refresher on Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma- Informed Care; presented by Cassandra Colaizzi from Bergen County Prevention Coalition Coordinator at The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources.
The Second half of our presentation will be UPDATES: what school nurses need to know about reporting to the Department of Children and Families office of protection and permanency; presented by Shaikawanah Therlonge, Resource Development Specialist in the Jersey City office of the office of children and families.
We know that many of our students rely on us to recognize trauma and abuse as well as being a safe space for them to disclose sensitive information. We hope the updates are timely and helpful for all our members.
Please RSVP by 3 pm on Friday, March 15th, 2024 so that the caterer can be given an accurate headcount and the correct amount of any handouts can be printed. Late registrations and walk-in registrations will be subject to a late fee. Only cash/checks will be accepted the day of the program.
