BCSNA Membership

The BCSNA brings together school nurses from across Bergen County to connect, learn, and support one another in the practice of school nursing.

Membership in the BCSNA is mainted via annual dues per academic year. We are currently accepting membership registrations and renewals for the 2026 - 2027 school year. We hope you will join us and look forward to meeting you!

Membership Categories

Active Membership: for school nurses living or employed in Bergen County.

Associate Membership: for registered nurses interested individuals who do not qualify for an Active membership but who are

not employed by a public Board of Education, or;
a substitute school nurse, or;
former Active members who are not longer eligible for active membership.

Retired Membership: for former Active or Associate members who have retired from school nursing but wish to remain connected with the BCSNA.

Honorary Membership: bestowed by vote of the Executive Board to those deserving of membership who do not meet one of the above categories.

Membership Questions

How much are BCSNA membership dues?

Membership dues for Active and Associate Members are $25 a year; Retired and Honorary Members are not required to pay dues.

When does membership expire?

Membership dues are good for one year and must be renewed annually. The BCSNA calendar begins on July 1st; dues paid on or after that date will be applied towards the academic school year beginning the following September and remain valid until the end of the following June.

May I attend a meeting without becoming a member?

Yes! While we encourage all eligible guests to join us as a member, you may attend one of our general membership meetings by purchasing a non-member/guest ticket.

How can I get involved with the BCSNA?

Members can attend general membership meetings in-personal and virtually and participate in association Committees and the Executive Board. Contact the BCSNA to learn about current opportunities to get involved.
